I have attended several seminars hosted and presented by Mike Sandifer, and have taken individual instruction from him. Mike is a fantastic teacher; very patient, extremely knowledgeable, and passionate. His book – Critical Concepts of Fly Fishing is the written version of the concepts Mike covers in his presentations. It’s a great reference I can refer to repeatedly, so I can solidify Mike’s lessons. When I read the narrative I can hear Mike’s voice and it reinforces the concepts. It’s not necessary to have taken an in-person lesson. Mike and Kyle’s book is easy to follow and understand; builds upon the previous points, and is easy to read. It’s a great reference book and reads like a novel. Highly recommend. D. Breuer
